scraps
Scraps is a short stop-motion film featuring carved wooden puppets competing for a swath of red paper as currency. Set in a dusty workshop, the puppets’ shifting desires reflect how society shapes what we value. A dark parable exploring power, materialism, and the disconnect between true needs and societal influence. Created by Marguerite de Messières and Tsvetomir Naydenov. Music by Teodor Nedev. Supported by a MD State Arts Council Creativity Grant and screened in Barnesville MD, Sofia Bulgaria, and the DC Shorts International Film Festival
